Hamsar Hayat Nizami

Ustad Hamsar Hayat Nizami was born on 6th August 1970 in old Delhi. He was born to a great poet and a remarkable classical singer Late Ustad Hayat Nizami Saheb (Ustad Dehalvi), the grandson of Muzafar Khan Saheb and Munnaror Khan Saheb. Ustad Hamsar Hayat Nizami’s childhood days were transpired in veteran part of old Delhi.
His mother is from great and very rich cultured family. She is the daughter of Ustad Tandaras Khan Saheb who was the court singer of the last emperor of Mughal’s Bhahadur Shah Zafar and the sister of globally recognized great poet, singer, and master in Persian poetry Ustad Miraj Khan Saheb.
Childhood Graces…. Ustad Hamsar Hayat Nizami received his training in music from his father and noted classical singer of his days Late Ustad Hayat Nizami. Since the age day he started his training he took singing as its life and worked with full determination and dedication to add grace to the legacy of his family who has been known for their contribution to singing and poetry from more than seven centuries. In childhood days even Ustad Hamsar Hayat Nizami when use to cry it gives the impression of like singing his father often notice this and said to him once “Besura Chal Jayega Betaal Nahi Chalega” . He started performing with his father at the age of 8 years. Once he was performing at Akbhar Hotel in front of Mr. Amitabh Bachchan he was really impressed with his singing performance and Mr. Amitabh Bachchan told Late Ustad Hayat Nizami that this child will be paramount singer one day. In childhood he was mischievous and short tempered boy. At age of 10 when he went to Ajmer with his father for a performance he got separated from his father at Dargah Ajmer Sharif. Next day at Dargah only he was found. His father prayed to God that this time he lost in the crowd and bless him so much that one day crowed will follow him.
Singing Odyssey….Till now Ustad Hamsar Hayat Nizami has performed all over India and globally in more than 52 countries where he left footprints singing and caliber. In 1986 he performed in the United States of America where he was to perform with his father in Los Angeles but due to some contingent circumstances that turn out to be his first solo performance outside India. In 1990 he went to Pakistan where he performed and deliver his signature performances in Lahore in a program with Late Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Saheb. Also in the same tour he performed in Karachi.
Playback Singing… His talent was noticed by directors of Bollywood where he got his first break in Sanjay Dutt acted movie Tathastu he gave his voice for track Allah O Ali composed by Vishal Shekhar.Also he recently gave sung a track Mere Khuda with Javed Ali in the movie I don’t Love You.He sung a track Me Ishq Ka Raja Hu with rapper Honey Singh. Also he has sung tracks of a Punjabi movie Sajan the True Friend.He is a well-known bhajan singer and his Sai Bhajans are so well versed and loved by the people Deewana Tera Aya Baba Teri Sharan Mein, Banda Garib Hai, Hum Baba Wale Hai are some of his well-known and sung bhajans.
Honor and appraisal… Ustad Hamsar Hayat Nizami has a received enormous awards, honors and appraisals worldwide. He has been honored prestigious awards like Ruhani Sukoon, Sufi Sartaj, Rajiv Gandhi Global Award, Ekta Mission, Bajaj Music Award and many more.
Present Gilmpse… Presently, he has been leading vocalist in his group Sufi Hayat Brothers. Along with his group he has been preforming nationwide many Sufi and cultural performance, Qawwali Programs stage shows, Cultural events, etc. Ustad Hamsar Hayat Nizami Is although hold his singing base as loud classical but he still sings with versatility flavor which allow him to adapt his singing as per situation and demand which make him above the par. Although he has received singing and this style of singing from his father and ancestors but his own ingredients of his efforts make his singing more delightful and treat to ears.
